Breaking Records: 2,500 KG of Plastic Recovered from Bahrain’s Coastlines

Our mission to clean Bahrain’s coastlines has officially reached a historic milestone. Through the dedicated efforts of the Under the Sea team, in collaboration with local divers and environmental volunteers, we have successfully removed over 2,500 kg of plastic waste and abandoned fishing gear from our waters.

This achievement is more than just a number; it represents a significant step towards restoring the natural balance of our marine ecosystem. Most of the collected waste consisted of single-use plastics and ‘ghost nets’ that threaten coral reefs and marine life. By utilizing our real-time tracking technology, we were able to pinpoint high-density pollution zones, making our cleanup operations more efficient than ever. This is just the beginning of our journey toward a plastic-free ocean.
